Válvula proporcional de presión VPPM

En la Industria alimentaria, las tapas de los envases son transportadas con ventosas. La presión de vacío se debe ajustar en función del tamaño y material de las mismas. Las válvulas de control proporcional VPPM son las responsables de esta regulación.
Una vez transportadas, las tapas se montan en el envase, la fuerza del cilindro es regulada por el sistema proporcional, permitiendo que la presión se adapte a cada producto.

New VDW 30/40 –XF, 2 Port Solenoid Valve from SMC

If you need a compact, lightweight, direct operated 2 port solenoid valve for use with water or air we now have the perfect solution following the launch of our new Series VDW 30/40-XF range. Developed for a wide range of industrial applications these multipurpose solenoid valves, with their PPS resin body construction, are around 50% lighter than our existing VDW range. With single valve volumes of 30 x 48 x 50mm and 36 x 56 x 56mm respectively, these valves are particularly suitable for use in dispenser and automatic tap applications and fuel cell cogeneration systems. Schneider Electric lanza la nueva plataforma de control Flexible Machine

Se trata de una plataforma de hardware y software totalmente flexible que permite integrar la automatización, el control y el movimiento de la maquinaria en un único sistema. La plataforma se complementa con SoMachine, un entorno de programación de desarrollo único y común a todo este nuevo sistema de automatización

Schneider Electric, ha lanzado Flexible Machine, una nueva plataforma de hardware y software flexible para el mercado del fabricante de maquinaria y cuadrista de automatización. Con esta nueva solución Schneider Electric pone a disposición de sus clientes una solución de control plenamente adaptada a sus requerimientos de desarrollo y mantenimiento.

La principal novedad de Flexible Machine es su enfoque mecatrónico. La plataforma permite utilizar hasta 5 tipos de controladores distintos, en función de las necesidades, los requerimientos y evoluciones naturales de las máquinas o sistemas de control en las fases de ingeniería, desarrollo y mantenimiento.

La plataforma se complementa con SoMachine, una herramienta de desarrollo único y común a todo este nuevo sistema de automatización. El entorno de programación SoMachine permite desarrollar y asociar un único proyecto a cada máquina o sistema, independientemente de su tipología, descargarlo y mantenerlo desde un único punto de conexión para toda la máquina. Process visualization system enhanced with telecontrol for smaller installations

The Siemens Industry Automation Division has developed a telecontrol option for its process visualization system Simatic WinCC V7. Simatic WinCC TeleControl is ideally suited for smaller installations and complements the existing Siemens telecontrol portfolio. In addition to Simatic PCS 7 TeleControl for process automation it also includes PVSS for hierarchical widely distributed system architectures. The Simatic WinCC TeleControl software option uses a WAN (Wide Area Network) to flexibly integrate remote terminal units equipped with Simatic automation components into the installation’s central process visualization system. Main applications are in the water and wastewater industries as well as oil and gas.

Simatic WinCC TeleControl supports the three main telecontrol protocols IEC 60870-5 101/104, DNP V3 (serial or TCP/IP) and Sinaut ST7 (serial or TCP/IP). The software can be customized for the requirements of a particular installation. A uniform user interface for local and remote processes minimizes the risk of errors. Employee training costs are reduced since the Simatic WinCC process visualization system is used both for telecontrol operations and for the actual process visualization. This results in considerably lower installation, start-up and maintenance costs.

Simple communication via Ethernet in RFID applications using TCP/IP

The Siemens Industry Automation Division has developed a new communication module for the connection of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) read/write devices to Ethernet. The primary application areas of the Simatic RF182C module are in machine building, conveyor systems, assembly lines in the automotive and supplier industries as well as in ancillary assembly lines. The new product is designed for Ethernet communication by means of TCP/IP protocol and supplements the modules already available for Profibus and Profinet.

The new Simatic RF182C communications module is suitable for the read/write devices of all RFID systems except Moby R. The high IP67 degree of protection facilitates distributed installation outside the control cabinet directly in the plant process and rapid commissioning is possible with the plug-in connection technology. Up to two RFID read/write devices can be connected in parallel to the basic unit. The RF182C can be integrated in the field level using one of three different technologies - the RJ45 push-pull plug, M12 7/8" 5-pin or M12 7/8" 4-pin connection blocks.

Simatic RF182C is programmed with standard XML commands. This means the communication module can be easily integrated in a PC environment or connected to commercially available controllers. Since the Ethernet parameterization is stored in the connection block, the user can simply replace the basic unit in case of servicing without interrupting the network.

Heavy-duty roller rail systems that can be more finely scaled

Extended Rexroth roller runner block holds 77 percent more

The advantages of the compact dimensions of the size 65 profiled rail systems are combined in the new roller runner block with a 77 percent increase in load-bearing capacity. Machine manufacturers can thus reduce assembly costs even in existing designs and replace multi-block designs with an extended block.

Extended by about 80mm, the block has additional roller elements to enable it to support significantly higher loads, and can achieve a dynamic load capacity of 366kN. The static load capacity exceeds 792kN. With dynamic torsional load moments and longitudinal load moments of over 13.000Nm, the blocks enable highly rigid designs to be achieved. In the standard height the roller runner block can be fitted from below or above and adds refinement to the spectrum of load capacities between sizes 65 and 100.

Rexroth offers the new roller runner blocks in accuracy classes H, P, SP and UP, and with preload of 8 and 13 percent. The unrestricted interchangeability of the roller blocks means that they can be fitted to all Rexroth's service-proven size 65 profiled rail systems, in all accuracy and preload classes. Moreover, manufacturers of presses, plastic processing machines, heavy machinery, paper processing machines and printing machines and special applications can make the most of the extended load spectrum to drive forward with standardization.

The roller runner blocks are fully sealed and are suitable for lubrication with oil and grease. Lubrication points on all sides, which are also suitable for central lubrication systems, make design work easier even where installation conditions are difficult. The roller bearing system reduces the amount of friction as compared to sliding guides by up to 90 percent. This reduces the drive force required and contributes to improved energy efficiency, greater precision and higher rigidity. On request Rexroth can supply the extended roller block with aluminum end caps as well, for wall-mounting and in the corrosion-resistant Resist CR version, with a matt silver, hard-chrome plated finish.


Quiet Powerhouse

New A15VSO high-pressure axial-piston unit from Rexroth with improved efficiency

Rexroth combines significantly lower noise emissions with further improved efficiency in the new A15VSO axial-piston unit for stationary applications in open circuit operation. It can meet pressure requirements to 420 bar and recovers potential energy during pump/motor operation almost completely. This enables innovative recuperation concepts that can improve the efficiency of machines and systems. Equipped with a universal through drive, the A15VSO seamlessly integrates into the Rexroth line of products and simplifies the process of combining different pumps.

Rexroth developers used state-of-the-art simulation tools in all design stages. The housing structure, optimized for minimum sound emissions, reduces noise considerably. Subsequently, the air borne noise level has been reduced in average by up to 2 dB(A) at full flow operation and up to 3 dB(A) during pressure holding periods (high pressure stand by). In addition, the development engineers shifted the operating noise to a frequency range that is perceived as sonorous and more agreeable by the human ear.

Further design improvements increase the overall efficiency of the axial-piston pump to 93 percent. The swivel range, for example, has been increased to +/- 100 percent to enable complete over center operation and an extremely fast decrease of pressure. In the pump/motor operating mode an almost complete recuperation of potential energy is possible for instance during lowering of a load or braking of a moving mass. This opens up new opportunities for maximizing the energy efficiency of machines and systems, whereby the robust and stable swivel action ensures highly dynamic performance with reduced response times. The first pump size of the A15VSO has a displacement of 280 cubic centimeter at a nominal pressure of 350 bar and a maximum pressure of 420 bar.

The new compact housing, which features an optimized layout of flow channels and better use of installation space, simplifies the process of fitting the pump even in very tight spaces. The universal through drive increases flexibility for customized drive solutions and can easily be used to connect axial-piston, gear, and other hydraulic pumps out of the comprehensive line of Rexroth pumps. Numerous hydraulic and electric controllers (also for remote control operation) enable efficient, highly precise control of power, pressure, and flow as well as load-sensing functions.

Even more options with CQ2 compact air cylinders

Following a review of the popular CQ2 compact cylinder Series SMC R&D engineers have totally redesigned the complete cylinder range to bring you even more performance benefits and increased cylinder options. The major difference between the new CQ2 range and the old model is the totally redesigned body, which offers improved auto-switch mounting possibilities plus an overall reduction of cylinder weight of between 5 -13% depending on the model. Now, all CQ2 cylinders from Ø 32 to 200mm are designed with slide in grooves which can accommodate auto-switches on all four cylinder sides without the need for auto-switch brackets. And, for smaller bore sizes between Ø 12 and 25mm, slide in grooves have also been integrated in the new body design to accommodate bracket free auto-switches on two surfaces. Designed for use with our simple to set, dual colour, solid state auto-switches, the integrated auto-switch channel ensures total protection against potential accidental damage and improved health and safety benefits during both installation and maintenance procedures.


Series MY3A/MY3B range extension

Completing the line-up of mechanically jointed rodless cylinders, Series MY3A with rubber bumper and Series MY3B with air cushion types, we are pleased to offer our customers even more bore size options - Ø20, 32 and 50mm. Now available in seven bore sizes from Ø16 to 63mm, these compact double acting cylinders, which are designed for general machinery applications, incorporate a unique piston design which helps achieve outstanding cylinder height reductions. Ideal for transporting heavy work pieces with large moment loads when combined with external guides, the Series MY3B can also now be ordered with the RJ soft type shock absorber as a made-to-order option – XB22.


Series CS2 range extension

Available in three bore sizes; Ø125, Ø140 and Ø160 mm, these cylinders can now be ordered as a smooth cylinder type Series CS2Y for low pressure, low speed applications and also as a double rod type, Series CS2W for powerful pushing and pulling operations.
