Series LEYG – a guide rod type electric actuator with excellent rigidity
Available with slide or ball bushing bearing options with a choice of step or servo motors, these actuators can be programmed up to 64 points. Compatible with moment load and suitable for use as a stopper, these actuators can operate at speeds up to 500mm/s with position repeatability of ±0.2mm and with maximum thrust of 141N to 707N depending on the selected model.
Series LEHZJ - an improved two finger electric gripper with protective dust cover
This accurate dual fingered electric gripper has been specifically designed for use in applications where dust contamination can be a problem. With its sealed construction (IP 50 enclosure compatible) dust or cutting particles cannot enter inside the actuators body and with a choice of chloroprene, fluororubber or silicon rubber finger material, these grippers can be used in numerous environments.
Series LESH#L - a symmetrical type electric slide table extending our existing LESH range
With the same performance features as our popular Series LESH electric slide table, this new addition offers the space saving possibility of mounting two slide tables side-by-side (symmetrically) without any interference of the cabling.
New VDW 30/40 –XF, 2 Port Solenoid Valve from SMC
If you need a compact, lightweight, direct operated 2 port solenoid valve for use with water or air we now have the perfect solution following the launch of our new Series VDW 30/40-XF range. Developed for a wide range of industrial applications these multipurpose solenoid valves, with their PPS resin body construction, are around 50% lighter than our existing VDW range. With single valve volumes of 30 x 48 x 50mm and 36 x 56 x 56mm respectively, these valves are particularly suitable for use in dispenser and automatic tap applications and fuel cell cogeneration systems. Available with an optional power saving circuit, which reduces the standard valve’s energy consumption from 3w to 0.5w, further selections include the choice of 45º or 90º right or left-hand side electrical entry and either quick fastener or one-touch body piping, thereby ensuring simple and efficient valve installation.
Series MGP range extension
Top selling guided cylinders - Series MGP. With their high load capabilities, long stroke options, dual port locations and switch mounting grooves on both sides, this comprehensive cylinder range has been further extended with the launch of two more made-to-order options. Now, these cylinders can be ordered with symmetrical – right hand side or left hand side – ports as –X144 option, allowing even more machine design flexibility. Additionally, for applications requiring the MGP to be mounted from the bottom surface, our engineers have also developed our – XC82 option which alleviates the need to machine holes for the guide rods as they do not protrude from base when the cylinder rod is retracted.

Even more options with CQ2 compact air cylinders
Following a review of the popular CQ2 compact cylinder Series SMC R&D engineers have totally redesigned the complete cylinder range to bring you even more performance benefits and increased cylinder options. The major difference between the new CQ2 range and the old model is the totally redesigned body, which offers improved auto-switch mounting possibilities plus an overall reduction of cylinder weight of between 5 -13% depending on the model. Now, all CQ2 cylinders from Ø 32 to 200mm are designed with slide in grooves which can accommodate auto-switches on all four cylinder sides without the need for auto-switch brackets. And, for smaller bore sizes between Ø 12 and 25mm, slide in grooves have also been integrated in the new body design to accommodate bracket free auto-switches on two surfaces. Designed for use with our simple to set, dual colour, solid state auto-switches, the integrated auto-switch channel ensures total protection against potential accidental damage and improved health and safety benefits during both installation and maintenance procedures.
Series MY3A/MY3B range extension
Completing the line-up of mechanically jointed rodless cylinders, Series MY3A with rubber bumper and Series MY3B with air cushion types, we are pleased to offer our customers even more bore size options - Ø20, 32 and 50mm. Now available in seven bore sizes from Ø16 to 63mm, these compact double acting cylinders, which are designed for general machinery applications, incorporate a unique piston design which helps achieve outstanding cylinder height reductions. Ideal for transporting heavy work pieces with large moment loads when combined with external guides, the Series MY3B can also now be ordered with the RJ soft type shock absorber as a made-to-order option – XB22.
Series CS2 range extension
Available in three bore sizes; Ø125, Ø140 and Ø160 mm, these cylinders can now be ordered as a smooth cylinder type Series CS2Y for low pressure, low speed applications and also as a double rod type, Series CS2W for powerful pushing and pulling operations. And with a further 12 additional made-to-order options including extended temperature resistant models, dual stroke cylinders, special port position options, alternative mounting and tie rod lengths, plus the additional of stainless steel material component parts for harsh environments and fluorine seal materials, these big bore cylinders can handle a complete range applications needs.

Sensores neumáticos de alta precisión para medición de distancias micrométricas
Un sensor de medición de espacios comprendidos entre 20 y 200 micras para detectar principalmente el correcto pisicionamiento de piezas. Se distingue por su gran repetibilidad. Se diferencia de otros sensores por la posibilidad de integrarse con una unidad de control, permitiendo así el ahorro de aire o la posibilidad de realizar un soplado de limpieza de los puntos de medida. La unidad de control dispone de un regulador de presión interno que permite prescindir de elementos externos con el consiguiente ahorro de costes y tiempos de montaje.

Transmisor de posiciones SMAT-8M
El SMAT-8M para ranura en T, queda enrasado en la ranura del cilindro, sin partes salientes. Es realmente compacto y ligero. Capaz de medir un recorrido de hasta 40mm con un cuerpo que mide tan solo 30mm. Además es posible escalar la señal analógica para un recorrido menor, óptimo para aplicaciones donde hay actuadores de carreras cortas, actuadores de giro, pinzas y allí donde los émbolos recorren unos pocos milímetros.

Símbolos Neumáticos
Un símbolo es "La representación perceptible de una idea, con rasgos asociados por una convención socialmente aceptada. Es un signo sin semejanza ni contigüidad, que solamente posee un vínculo convencional entre su significante y su denotado, además de una clase intencional para su designado"
Para representar los elementos neumáticos en los esquemas de circuito se utilizan símbolos. Éstos, de acuerdo con la definición, no dan ninguna orientación sobre el método constructivo de la válvula, solamente indican su función.
Existen varias convenciones y sistemas relativos a los símbolos utilizados en neumática, usados por todo el mundo y oficialmente reconocidos mediante normas estándar. El más importante es la norma ISO 1219-1.
A la hora de automatizar es imprescindible tener el conocimiento de esos símbolos. Por ello es recomendable tener documentación al respecto o saber dónde conseguirla. Además es útil conseguir archivos CAD de todos los elementos, para realizar planos de las instalaciones diseñadas.
